I am a very straight forward person who likes to take things in stride with a level-headed demeanor. Life is quite exciting to me as it has so many opportunities and experiences to offer for those willing to reach out and grab them. I feel one should always make the best use of every opportunity we are blessed with. I am adventurous by nature and thoroughly enjoy new challenges as they give me the zeal and impetus to work towards excellence. One thing I firmly believe in is that one should always strive towards individual betterment, in whichever form it may be.
In the past 20 years, I have gained a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in commercial and residential real-estate. I believe the experience and perspective that I bring from my background has served me well and will continue to make me a valuable asset in numerous and varied work environments.
After years of progressing through increasingly responsible positions, I developed strong skills in communications, management assistance, team development, interpersonal relationships, customer service, and social interaction in complex environments.
In addition to my education and work experiences, I am bilingual in English and Montenegrin. I was born and raised in Kotor, Montenegro (former Yugoslavia). I came to the US in 1993 at 15 years of age. In 1999, I graduated from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Upon completion of my education, I was offered employment at MARC, a non-profit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My experience at MARC allowed me to grasp concepts and gain valuable insight into the field of social work, as well as take on the roles of a mediator, facilitator, educator, and many others that are so important to the profession. Throughout this experience I gained invaluable knowledge and experience working within the mental health field.
I moved to Houston in 2010 to pursue a business prospect and at this time my real estate career was initiated. I started investing in overseas properties. This was a challenging but a rewarding experience. I also developed a keen interest in building, architecture and design. I built my first Mediterranean home in 2015. This was the beginning of my real estate investor journey.
Living in Houston has given me many opportunities for furthering my entrepreneurial and investment career. Houston is known as the most ethnically diverse metropolitan area in the United States. I appreciate having many of my family members here and the opportunities this wonderful city offers in fulfilling business, cultural, and network experiences. It’s a great place to pursue your dreams.
In addition to my passion for business, I also have a strong core foundation in the Arts. At a young age, I was exposed to numerous art classes and shows. I also studied photography at Midland College which I later developed into a hobby. From my exposure to the Arts, I developed a keen interest in classical music, theater, movies, Faberge and Limoges collections, jewelry, paintings & photography.
In brief, I strive to be well rounded and varied in all facets from my work to my personal life. It is my sincere hope that all endeavors that I undertake will continue to benefit my platform and be enhanced by my knowledge and experience.
